Which UK affiliate network?
In my previous article “Which affiliate network?” I listed the main
requirements/criteria that are important for me when I choose an affiliate network.
In this article I’m going to list the UK affiliate networks that I prefer to work through.
I would highly recommend them to the people who are looking for reliable networks but haven’t signed up yet being not sure of their choice.
Note: Please, have in mind that the links below are affiliate links (of course each one affiliate marketer would put affiliate links, would this business exist if we don’t use them
).
Paid On Results (POR)
One of my favourite UK affiliate networks. I’ve never had any problem with tracking.
They offer great tools (easy deep linking, content units, free feeds, commission
payments via PayPal, fast and helpful support, 2nd Tier Commissions …). What more do you need from an affiliate network!? Ahh, yes … well converting merchants. ![]()
Well, POR doesn’t have thousands of merchats, but most of the merchants
they work with convert very well.
Affiliate Window (Digital Window)
After a short “nap” AffiliateWindow took their well-deserved position in the affiliate market. For the last year they have made many improvements of their affiliate
system - new (or improved) tools, free feeds, fast support, fresh ideas, good number of merchants.
I easely added them to the group of my prefered UK affiliate networks.
One thing that would be nice to see them offering more options for commission payments for their international affiliates - PayPal or Direct Deposit.
Affiliate Window is one of the affiliate networks that requires a payment of (5GBP) to sign up (if your account is approved the same amount will be added to your affiliate commission balance). I’ve never regret that I’ve paid this money and started working with them.
Webgains (now a part of Adpepper company )
The network that I always deal with with a pleasure.
Great support, good affiliate tools (iSense Ad Creator, deep link generator, free data feed url generator), “problemless” tracking.
Cons - no PayPal or Direct Deposit commission payments for their International affiliates.
Buy.at
Another leader on the UK affiliate marketing.
During the last year they also made many positive changes - new management area v.3, new affiliate tools (Creative HTML, Content / Link Engine), product feeds, improved stats, very good tracking. Recently I started working with Buy.at more actively and I will do more often exactly because of the changes they made.
Cons - Sometimes you might have to wait TOO long to be approved for some of their
merchant programmes. And again - no PayPal or Direct Deposit options available for their International affiliates.
AffiliateFuture
Great affiliate network with great team and merchants.
I’ve never experienced any problem with tracking. I would like to work more with them but there are few things that should be improved in my opinion:
There is a lack of useful stats or content/links generating tools. Anyway this shouldn’t discourage you from signing up with them!
TradeDoubler
One of the major UK / Europe affiliate networks.
There have been many comments that their support is too slow but I personally never had serious problems with the support response time.
TradeDoubler have got a nice number of merchants, other advantages:
fast payment, Direct Deposit for their International affiliates, NET30, very good stats, stable tracking, good affiliate tools, separated network for many European countries.
Cons - you have to sign up for each one country separately. Sometimes I experience problems with loading their feeds or content units - or their server is down, or it loads too slow (though I haven’t noticed this problem for some time).
And in the end I couldn’t miss two other major affiliate networks (although they are not exactly UK affiliate networks but they work with a huge number of UK merchants): CJ (Commission Junction) and Zanox.
CJ (Commission Junction) is the largest affiliate network in the world.
Sometimes it’s not so easy to work with them but some of the best converting merchants operate their affiliate programmes through them.
The Support response time is acceptable, they do not offer many affiliate tools, for some merchants you even have to pay to use their feeds. Tracking usually works fine but there are many other problems - many of the CJ affiliate links are blocked by many of Spyaware/adware/antivirus programmes. For some of their merchants you may wait MONTHS to be approved.
They finally started offering Direct Deposit for their International affiliates but just for a limited number of countries.
In any case if you think seriously of the affiliate marketing you can’t ignore CJ (Commission Junction).
Zanox is a 7 (seven) Years old German company with campains over all the World.
Haven’t worked with them too much so that I don’t have deep impressions and can’t comment the advantages and disadvantages of this network.
They offer Direct Deposit for their International affiliates and have good number of merchants, free feeds …
* Please, have in mind that there are several other affiliates networks that are probably very good as well but the list above includes the main UK affiliate networks that I personally can recommend. Feel free to send me your personal recommendations/impressions - I’ll publish them with a pleasure or just post here your thoughts.
